Chris Stringer - Born 1947, Chris Stringer is a British anthropologist and one of the leading proponents of the Single-origin theory, which hypothesizes that modern humans originated in Africa over 100,000 years ago and replaced the world's archaic human species, such as Homo erectus and Neandertals, after migrating from Africa to the non-African world within the last 50,000-100,000 years. He is a researcher in the area of hominins in the Natural History Museum's Department of Paleontology.
